Sales / Marketing
- Analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of the community compared to competitors and develops appropriate action steps to effectively sell against the competition
- Identifies primary and secondary markets with appropriate sales strategies and tactics
- Gathers YARDI reports for analysis and interpretation (to identify solutions)
- Complete competitive market analysis data and maintains a detailed competitor comparative analysis (including rates, apartment sizes, services, and amenities)
Business Development
- Responsible for community outreach and education activities for creating referrals
- Coordinate outreach meetings for other key staff including Executive Director, Resident Service Director, and Program Directors
- Effectively use YARDI to maintain a high-quality outreach and sales effort. Keeps referral customer information up-to-date and uses data base to orchestrate specialized outreach efforts including targeted mailings
- Participates with Executive Director and Community Relations Director on development of effective sales and marketing plans drawing on information from analysis of the competitive environment. Updates key competitor evaluation and price surveys semi-annually.
Essential Functions
- Effectively manages sales and marketing with information systems, Marketing Action Plan's, critical success factors, etc.
- Manages and builds client relationships
- Demonstrates innovative, entrepreneurial thinking in response to competitive trends and business development opportunities
- Tracks and responds to market trends
Talent Development
- Effectively develops talent (mentoring BOMs, Executive Directors, and Senior Executive Directors)
- Recruits at all levels of the company
- Participates and encourages leadership development
- Manages employee performance through the use of performance review, action plans, and progressive discipline
- Implements and adheres to training programs and processing
- Embraces and champions corporate growth, to include possible redesign of role
- Manages succession planning
Problem Solving / Communication
- Acts as a liaison with accounting department to answer questions and troubleshoot field accounting issues
- Effectively presents operating results to senior management and develops plans and action steps to enhance performance
- Serves as a liaison between the field and senior management
- Researches the root causes of problems and develops plans to resolve them
- Effectively responds to and communicates about crisis situations
Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, Gerontology or other course of study that relates to service to the elderly, preferred.
- Demonstrated, successful operations experience specific to independent, assisted, Alzheimer's, CCRC communities or related fields.
- Valid driver's license to operate an assisted living facility, if mandated by the State in which the community is located.
Maplewood Senior Living conducts pre-employment screening including background check, drug screening and reference checks.
Due to Department of Public Health requirements, all candidates will be required to show valid proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 (1st vaccine, 2nd vaccine, and booster) before commencing work, unless they receive an approved exemption from Maplewood. Those who do not obtain full vaccination and booster within that time frame, without an approved exemption, will be terminated.
