What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Mar-Bal Inc?
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Assists in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references, and tracking of new possible candidates in HRIS.
- Completes form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Assisting with employee termination procedures, including advising employees on their rights and any benefits they are entitled to.
- Assists with payroll processing in UKG/ back-up payroll processor.
· Assists with new employee orientation.
· Assists with administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
- Prepare materials and help organize employee performance reviews.
- Fosters positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Prepares new-employee files and benefit enrollment packets.
- Makes sure all employee records are filed correctly and kept confidential.
- Educates employees on and enforces company policies.
- Assists with employee engagement activities.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
