Quality Control Technician
Purpose:
The intent of this job description is to establish duties and assignments for the position named above that support the quality policy, management objectives, and quality system of Mar-Bal. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and the employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned by their immediate supervisor and other management any duty or assignment that does not support established company policies.
Key Functions/Responsibilities:
- Work with production team to assess process robustness, document the process parameters and suggest changes to the technical team.
- Collect Samples and retains from production runs to performance extensive near term and long-term quality checks. All data to be document in designated records.
- Create COA/COC (Certificates of Analysis or Certificates of Compliance) for every shipment of material.
- Create lab batches and perform R&D experiments per the direction from the technical team.
- Maintain Batch Tickets for R&D runs and keep detailed records of experimental outcomes.
- Perform daily process audits in various plant areas to ensure that quality and throughout requirements are met.
- Keep inventory of all lab chemicals and ensure a safe, clean, and productive lab environment.
- Communicate quality concerns and process observations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- High School or College Degree
- Basic understanding of Statistics a plus
- Instrumentation use such as DSC, TGA, TMA, DMA, Instron, FTIR, and others is a plus.
- Experience working with Thermoset Resins a benefit.
- Ability to use Excel and Word programs expected
- Great listening and communication skills a must.
