Design Draftsman

Marathon Finishing is a dynamic, fast paced, rapidly evolving, & continuously improving business based in Temecula, California. We relentlessly strive for excellence & are looking for a Draftsman with similar ideals.

Responsibilities

· Take products & projects from conceptual 2D Cad drawings to a complete 3D design using Autodesk Inventor

3D Autodesk Inventor user required

· Create Fabrication & Assembly drawings of company products.

· Research, design, evaluate & improve the design of existing engineered mechanical products

· Prepare & estimate costs for manufactured equipment, engineering & construction projects

· Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions and increase efficiency.

· Assist in selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, & operation of product designs.

· Create initial concept drawings to assist Sales Department

Job Requirements

· High School Diploma with college prep classes/training/equivalent experience on Autodesk Inventor Software

· Minimum of 3 years layout drafting experience is a plus

· Basic understanding of engineering principles

Preferred skills

· Ability to use E.R.P. management software

· Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor software strongly preferred

· Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks software a plus

· Strong problem-solving skills

· A good knowledge of how to use Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel

· An excellent grasp of engineering & design principles

· Excellent communication skills

· An understanding of manufacturing processes & construction methods

· Knowledge of electronic equipment & computer hardware & software

· Self-motivated & highly organized

Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with OT/ Saturday if needed
Located in Temecula, CA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per year
