Construction Administrator

Marathon TS is seeking an experienced Construction Administrator / Manager (CM-CA) with a background in the construction industry to provide Owner's Representative construction management services to a Federal client in the healthcare industry.
The CM-CA will work to support a Federal client looking to plan, study, and design $100M of future work, as well as, manage ongoing construction projects of various sizes and complexity.
CM-CA provides a wide range of analytical and planning, design, and construction management support services to assist the client.
The position will support more senior government project managers and fellow contractor project managers, who will work as part of a larger design / construction program.
The ability to lead and work as a team AND work independently are critical. We are seeking an individual who will be a clear communicator, takes initiative and embraces project ownership.
Responsibilities :
- Shall possess a working knowledge of construction practices and call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing the various plans set forth on the project including Quality Assurance, Safety, Time, Cost, Change and Information Management.
- Shall be familiar with the site operations of a General and Sub-contractor and the process of managing a building construction operation.
- Possess experience sorting, filing, and tracking construction / project related documentation.
- Possess experience organizing and attending design / production meetings and distributing meeting minutes to all project stakeholders.
Draft and distribute project updates and facilitating team communication.
- Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
- Work experience and completed projects shall be identified in the credentials of the individual to show competency to undertake a rigorous program in construction in all identified tasks.
- Must possess Communication, Language, and Software Skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products and compile data and records by applying both knowledge of the construction industry and computer literacy.
- May be assigned as Team Leader based on experience.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Required :
- The CM-CA shall have 3 years' of construction administration work experience.
- Ability to recognize terminology associated with administration of construction activity and support CM staff with required documentation and submission of project related data.
- Must maintain a working knowledge of major construction activity and the typical documentation and reporting requirements.
- Communication, Language, and Software Skills
- Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
- Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen OR hold a valid green card 3 years of US work experience.
- Must be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred :
- It is preferred, but not required, that the CM-CA shall possess experience working in the state of New York.
- It is preferred, but not required, that the0 CM-CA shall possess commercial healthcare experience and strongly preferred that the CM-CA possess healthcare experience supporting the U.
S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Knowledge of governmental contracting procedures, principles, guidelines and public law.
Required Education :
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning; OR three (3) years of construction work experience may be substituted for the degree;
relevant experience will be reviewed for acceptability.
