About the Job
Our team is growing, and Marcon Metal USA (www.marconmetal.com) is hiring two second shift CNC Operators to join our dynamic team based out of Ferndale, WA, fabricating our custom-designed structural steel assemblies.
Duties include:
- Set up and operate CNC Drill and Saw (with cross training possibilities: Tube Laser).
- Read, analyze, and interpret shop drawings and other documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Operate a CNC machine to cut parts from raw material to supply parts to be fabricated into the product throughout the facility.
- Operate basic measuring equipment (tape measure or calipers)
- Responsible for identifying material by grade and size.
- Safe operation of material handling equipment (forklift & overhead crane).
- Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental procedures, policies, and practices.
- Other duties as required.
Shift available:
- 2nd (Afternoon) Shift - Monday to Thursday (Four 10-Hour shifts with 30-minute unpaid lunch) - 3:15 pm to 1:45 am.
Skills and Requirements:
- 1 years of experience in CNC operation.
- Knowledge of drilling.
- Computer skills to operate production software.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Experience with steel fabrication techniques, steel grades, and shapes.
- Experience maximizing the utilization of materials and minimizing waste of materials.
