Our Kansas City Warehouse, Wholesale Sheet Metal (WSM) is looking for a Driver. This role picks orders, reviews and maintains accurate order status, and organization of the will call area. The Driver/Warehouse is charged with on time and accurate order retrieval in accordance with the company’s Customer Value Proposition.

We’d love for you to join our team! We are seeking a Driver at our Kansas Branch. This position is located at located at 800 Southwest Blvd, Kansas City, KS 66103.
What will you be doing?
- Responsible for safe, timely, accurate, and efficient product deliveries.
- Delivers and transfers merchandise to and from customers, vendors, branch locations, or other locations as directed by their supervisor.
- Responsible for accurately checking all products as loaded and/or unloaded by the driver against the paperwork associated with the delivery.
- Reports any delays to supervisor through the course of the day.
- Responsible for checking in periodically with supervisor while on the road.
- Responsible for following all procedures associated with deliveries, including but not limited to driver logs, gas receipts, invoicing, collection of funds, accident / incident / injury reporting, returns and return forms, etc.
- Confers with supervisor prior to departure on proper form of payment for any COD order.
- Responsible for securing all products in vehicle properly to prevent shifting or damage to product prior to departure and throughout deliveries as needed.
- Carries the DOT Medical Certification card and a valid Driver’s License on their person at all times.
- Provides excellent customer service through timely customer interaction, problem resolution or escalation with effective and efficient follow-up.
- Addresses customers politely and professionally in a courteous manner, even in situations that may become difficult or tense
- Promptly responds to customer inquiries via phone, email, or fax with courtesy in a professional demeanor
- Establishes and maintains professional business dealings with customers and vendors at all times
What will you bring to the table?
Preferred Job Requirements
- 2-5 years’ experience with driving, warehousing and related functions.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High School diploma or its GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years’ experience with driving, warehousing, and related functions.
- Satisfactory MVR report plus driver insurability.
- Class E License
- Ability to drive up to a 26 foot box truck with curtain side access.
- Valid minimum 1-year DOT certification and state driver’s license.
- Demonstrates ability and willingness to safely operate warehouse equipment
- May be expected to work overtime and alternating Saturday morning during our peak business season.
