PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE FORKLIFT OPERATOR :
A non-supervisory member of the work group that will supply components and sub components to and from production lines in a safe and timely manner using a forklift / tow motor.
Must respond to additional work assignments when requested, and perform all essential functions in a timely manner (this includes performing production line work).
TYPICAL DUTIES OF A FORKLIFT OPERATOR :
Must be able to satisfactorily pass forklift operator written and practical tests; as well as drug screen. Work experience with demonstrated abilities in areas specific to those outlined in this job description.
Basic grammar, math skills, and good communications skills are needed. Ability to meet physical requirements such as lifting materials, standing for extended periods of time or exposure to environmental factors such as;
noise, vibration, fumes, or chemicals.
Physical requirements as set out above. Basic grammar & math skills. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work a standard forty-hour week with overtime as required by management.
