The role of Trading Infrastructure specialist is to scope, build and enhance Marex’s electronic trading offering. Liaise with Front office where there are gaps and opportunities bring Marex’s Clearing, ISV and vendor relationships together to meet clients’ needs as well as consolidate platforms where possible.
Where gaps are found or new business arise, utilise and grow Marex’s data platform Plutus, to record and store this data as well as improve the usage/availability of the central data store.

Central to Marex is the Technology Department and the services it provides to the business. Technology is geographically diverse but with a critical mass in London to deliver agile working across Infrastructure, Support and Development.
Based in London, the Trading Infrastructure Specialist will focus on electronic platforms from new business acquisitions as well as existing. Where possible use hosted platform infrastructure for new services and integrate with existing services where they match functionality.
This role works closely with both Front Office business managers – and the Technologists aligned to the business lines. Technology decisions should be aligned with Marex’s offering and if custom or developed applications are required, then these should flow through our lead architect and development teams.
Responsibilities:
• Work with IT, Clearing and Front Office to balance the client and business needs, as well as ensuring a consolidated, scalable IT environment that follows Marex’s IT standards.
• Identify where Marex offers repetitive services to clients and combine to reduce costs.
• Identify and manage gaps between IT and Clearing teams for services and technology offered to clients. Streamline these to enable faster onboarding.
• Oversee and enhance the FIX connectivity and offerings Marex provides.
• Manage relationships with vendors and trading partners.
• During acquisitions, identify consolidation of new platforms to better serve clients, offer hosted solutions where possible.
• Ensure delivered infrastructure and systems are of production quality and adequately documented for handover to the business and/or support functions
• Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the AMF
• Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

• Proven experience with cash equities, equity derivatives, FF&O and Fixed Income markets
