Responsibilities
About This Position
In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy the Registered Nurse manages quality patient care through the nursing process. Coordinates plan of care with the health care team. Assumes leadership role for unit personnel to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities. Employees are responsible for completion of unit competency assessments annual safety review CPR and renewal of license by maintaining continuing education units as required by hospital policy. In addition to these major responsibilities the Registered Nurse may be assigned other duties.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 4 years of experience at a Community or Regional Level Newborn ICU work experience. Other candidates to be considered on an individual basis and attributes.
- Registered nurse with 3 years of acute care experience.
- Associates degree and other speciality specific training.
- State of California RN License.
- NRP certification.
- Current approved health care provider CPR certification.
- Current ACLS or completion of ACLS course within 6 months of employment.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Greater than 5 years of experience.
- BSN or Masters degree.
- NICU certification.
- National certification in NICU, STABLE and transport certification
- Demonstrates experience with advanced skill practice in the placement of Umbilical line, PICC lines and needle thoracentesis and intubation.
Salary : $45 - $68
