Job Type Unclassified Department Recorder About the Position As the Administrative Manager, you will provide financial, budget, data modeling, and financial forecasting to support the Recorder’s Office. You will be responsible for supervising the daily financial and human resource operations while resolving complex financial and business issues. With your leadership, you will monitor the department budget, evaluate departmental financial operations, and provide recommendations for improvement to operations. About Us The Maricopa County Recorder's Office (MCRO) is responsible for recording all documents required by law and making them available for public record. MCRO oversees the voter registration process, documentation, and administration for the County’s approximately 2.5 million voters. It also plays a management role in overseeing early voting, all mail elections, and other election processes and administration. We Also Value Governmental budgeting and finance experience Human resource experience SHRM certified Job Contributions Supervises daily financial operations, resolving complex financial and business issues, and monitors the department budgets Monitors various aspects of financial reporting as well as general accounting functions, which may include cost allocation, accounting research, financial variance analysis, and audited financial reports Participates in the development and submission of the annual budget for the Recorder’s Office Works in collaboration with the Office of Budget and Finance to ensure the department consistently applies and is in compliance with the County’s financial plans, policies, and procedures Directs human resources staff on all areas of the employee life cycle (hiring, onboarding, integration, training, employee development, performance evaluation, discipline, and off-boarding) Develops and implements a wide range of human resources programs, processes, and procedures; assures compliance with laws, rules, and regulations Work in collaboration with county HR resources to resolve complex issues related to ADA, FMLA, and worker’s compensation Creates and achieves strategic Human Resource (HR) goals to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the Recorder's Office Working Conditions The job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks; reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations; consistent in meeting deadlines; able to handle project support problems in a timely manner; and self-prioritize work; and being courteous and displaying a professional demeanor.
