As the Parent Coordinator, you will develop and implement parent, family, and community engagement services in Healthy Start service areas and Co-Chair the Community Consortium.
You will also coordinate and facilitate training and activities with enrolled parents in Healthy Start and provide recruitment and engagement coordination to the Healthy Start Alumni group.

We Require
Three years of experience working in education, social work, psychology, public or community health, science, arts, business, or public administration and coordinating community programs, projects, and services
Bachelor’s degree in child development, public health, education, or a related field
A combination of education and experience may be considered in substitution for the minimum qualifications
Job Contributions
Lead, co-lead, and / or serve on workgroups to develop, implement, and address social determinants of health, addressing environmental, social, and economic conditions contributing to disparities in perinatal outcomes through workshops, conferences, social activities, and volunteer opportunities
Contribute to collecting, analyzing, and communicating data through assessments and environmental scans that identify and prioritize social determinants of health causes of disparities in perinatal outcomes in the project area to determine priorities on areas of need and opportunity
Recruit participants for the community program through outreach efforts, engagement with local organizations, and advertising initiatives, and maintain a database of all engagement activities to ensure program participation and success
Monitor trends and issues to continually assess the nature and effectiveness of the program's policies, programs, and services, providing recommendations for improvement
Work collaboratively with the Community Consortium and South Phoenix Healthy Start to plan, organize, coordinate, and administer the activities outlined in the grant program
Facilitate South Phoenix Healthy Start Alumni groups, including recruitment, strategic planning, and coordinating activities
Monitor grant and program contracts and deliverables to contribute to developing the program budget and ensure adherence and collaborate with local schools, healthcare providers, community agencies, and professionals to ensure effective coordination of services
Advocate for families during emergencies and crises, referring them to appropriate resources and following up on referrals
Contribute to disseminating project updates to community members and partners regarding the implementation of the Healthy Start Expansion project, including the plan and milestones achieved in pursuit of its goals and objectives
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in a business office setting with teleworking options
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
when appropriate, the individual may need to wear a mask to ensure compliance with safety guidelines
Must secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and complete a background check
some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and / or a Tuberculosis test
Ability to exert up to 20-25 pounds
