JOB TITLE: Science Teacher - Leave Position
REPORTS TO: Science Department Chair
START DATE: March 14-April 25 (approximate)
Marin Academy seeks an experienced high school science teacher for a part-time leave position beginning March
14, 2022. The successful candidate should have a strong background in Chemistry and be able to teach a range of
courses from the introductory to the advanced. Ideal candidates will also have the ability and/or experience to teach
additional courses either in the physical or life sciences.
The MA science department deeply values a student inquiry-based approach to the discipline, emphasizes process
and skill development, and works to connect curriculum and students to the world. Candidates with a track record
and a demonstrated interest in progressive pedagogy and collaboration within and potentially beyond the science
department are particularly encouraged to apply.
