Marine Travelift manufactures customized boat handling systems including boat hoists, marine forklifts, and hydraulic transporters. Marine Travelift has been manufacturing mobile boat hoists since 1954 and our equipment is utilized across the globe with over 5,000 units in service to help marinas handle boats of all sizes. Marine Travelift’s corporate headquarters is in Sturgeon Bay, WI with a satellite office in the Richmond, VA area.

What are we looking for?

Marine Travelift Mid Atlantic is excited to be adding a full-time Sales Manager to our growing team in the Mid-Atlantic. As a Sales Manager for a leading boat handling equipment manufacturer, you will be responsible for converting leads, meeting with customers to understand their boat handling needs, attending industry shows/meetings, and more. You will develop sales for the Mid-Atlantic region, working with internal team members, external customers, and distributors.

**We prefer our candidate to live in Maryland, Virginia, or North Carolina

As a Travelift Sales Rep, you will…

  • Identify and prospect potential clients within the targeted industries to expand the customer base.
  • Understand customer requirements, pain points, and challenges to recommend suitable products & solutions.
  • Possess a deep understanding of Marine Travelift product solutions & technologies to better serve our customers.
  • Translate technical specifications into customer-focused benefits and address any technical queries from clients.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and competitor’s offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate proposals, including cost estimates and timelines, in response to customer inquiries.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to clients before and after the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.

We are looking for you to…

  • Have experience in the Marine Industry as well as Large Equipment Sales.
  • Have a strong technical knowledge of Marine products, manufacturing processes, and engineering processes. This will also include the ability to understand complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them.
  • Have excellent communication, presentations, and interpersonal skills as well as strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to travel overnight about 40% of the year.
