What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitality Aide position at Mariner Healthcare?
SUMMARY
Assists in providing companionship; designed to meet the interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing of each patient.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILIIES include the following (Other duties maybe assigned):
- Provide conversation and companionship
- Assist with walking and monitor resident’s location
- Assist with other related duties as requested or asked by the facility within the realm to hold the residents attention from wondering in inappropriate areas.
- Report any changes to resident’s health, needs and/or living conditions
- Communicate with the residents in a respectful manner
- Treat resident and resident’s property with respect and dignity
- Supports residents’ needs and desires through 1:1 interaction, small group activity and large group meetings.
- Assists with off-site activity trips, when available and appropriate.
- Assists residents and guests to activities with the help of direct care staff.
- Helps fosters a sense of community within the facility.
- Maintain resident’s confidential information
- Other assigned duties and responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent, or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training.
- Previous experience in a health care setting preferred
