Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent; specialized education or training relating to loan processing; mandatory S.A.F.E. Act registration.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; moderate knowledge of current lending regulations; moderate knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact loan administration; proficient PC skills; visual and auditory skills.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ related experience normally required.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the loan processing function; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the loan processing function; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports; providing guidance and training to Loan Processing Representative I(s).
Essential Duties
1. Performs a variety of duties to support the loan processing function as follows:
a. Works with lenders, appraisers, attorneys and outside service providers and reviews and processes consumer, commercial, and mortgage loan applications, often of a more complex nature.
b. Obtains necessary supporting documentation in accordance with established checklists or as needed.
c. Monitors pending mortgage loans.
d. Generates loan documents for all loans.
e. Ensures compliance with loan policy procedures and federal and state lending regulations.
f. Records loan documents when applicable.
g. Maintains credit information and statements.
h. Collects and inputs HMDA data.
i. Processes new loan input and upload.
j. Assists with loan closings as needed.
k. Provides loan disbursements, including mortgage recordings and UCC-1 filings.
l. Provides information for, and assists in the preparation of, various loan reports as directed.
m. Provides direct service to departments including the loan department, credit department, and branches.
2. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
3. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, S.A.F.E. Act, etc.
5. Communicates with management and staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.
6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from other Bank personnel, customers, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
7. Maintains appropriate records and provides assigned reports.
8. Provides guidance and training to Loan Processing Representative I(s).

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
