Mark Cook Builders, Inc. is seeking applications for a Project Manager. We are a mid-size general contracting firm based in Leesburg, FL and are primarily focused on commercial new construction and renovation projects ranging from $100k-$10M.
Generally, the Project Manager would oversee all phases of various construction projects, including cost estimation, and would manage a workload of 5-10 concurrent projects. This position would be based in our Leesburg, FL office.

Generally, the Project Manager would oversee all phases of various construction projects, including cost estimation, and would manage a workload of 5-10 concurrent projects. This position would be based in our Leesburg, FL office.
Typical job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Act as liaison to clients, subcontractors, design professionals, and governing municipalities.
- Estimating for commercial construction projects.
- Detailed quantity takeoffs for a wide range of trades.
- Subcontractor proposal evaluation and scope review.
- Proposal drafting and bid document preparation.
- Purchasing, including creating and issuing purchase orders, and working with administrative staff for subcontracts.
- Project schedule development, tracking, and updating.
- Manage team of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Permitting, submittals, RFI’s, change orders, closeout documents, and various other administrative tasks required to effectively manage a project.
- Subcontractor pay application review and approval.
- Work with administrative staff to produce monthly AIA pay applications.
- Host weekly progress meetings with project stakeholders and subcontractors for larger projects.
- DELIVER PROJECTS ON TIME.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager. 10 years or more experience preferred.
- Must have relevant experience managing commercial construction projects from $100K - $5M or more.
- Proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communicator and problem solver.
- Strong with general computer skills and Microsoft Office products. Much of the work in this position is done with a computer, so applicants must be comfortable and efficient with basic computer tasks.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Capable of identifying and performing all tasks required at each stage of a commercial construction project without daily oversight. Project Manager will still report to upper management but must be able to manage their own tasks day-to-day.
- Comfortable with regularly leading meetings with 10-15 attendees.
- Professional, prompt, and presentable. Must pass background check and drug test.
- $60k-$100k/year salary. Based on each candidate’s experience and skill level.
