Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Quality system to ensure compliance to DSB’s QMS. Ensure ongoing compliance to all customer requirements including: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, Customer Specific Requirements, and Lead Management Review Process
- Leader for all customer complaints and issues related to product quality, including: Customer contact, initial response and containment, root cause analysis, corrective action and verification, and on-site support at the customer's facility as needed
- Accountable for internal and external audits and actions for non-conformances
- Leads continuous improvement of Quality Departments’ KPIs, including: COPQ, external CARs, internal non-conforming material, customer quality satisfaction per customer scorecards
- Provide leadership to ensure compliance with the following: accurate PPAP submissions, material and product certifications, non-conforming material, CAR/PARs, 8Ds, quality alerts and customer contact forms, dimensional layout of products, gauges calibration, gauge R&Rs and capability studies, controlled documentation and records retention, and development and maintenance of PFMEAs, control plans and operator procedures
- Participate in the development of strategic and tactical business plans
- Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program
- Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable law. The responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of DSB Technologies, which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technical field
- 5 years' quality management experience in an automotive environment
- Six Sigma experience; Blackbelt preferred
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
Skills
- Strong leadership with the ability to coach and mentor teams toward accomplishment of strategies goals, focusing on business objectives for financial performance and customer satisfaction
- Competent in Quality Management Systems with an emphasis on Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action
- Proven success as a facilitator in collaborating with teams on root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
