Right now we are looking for a Data Operations Assistant to join our Fizziology Team in Webster Groves, St. Louis, MO. This role will work across the Media, Entertainment, Sports, and Lifestyle verticals to expand our service offerings by continuing the development and maintenance on our flagship application, Centrifuge.
Data Operations Assistants work in conjunction with our development, operations and data teams. They support the Data Operations Manager in data retrieval for all data sources and in the monitoring, upkeep and creating of all properties in our proprietary technology. They will also assist in the maintenance and expansion of databases.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as on a team. They are proficient in Excel (knowledge of Tableau is a bonus), and have excellent writing skills, a knack for social media, a passion for film, top-tier brands, and an understanding of the sports industry.
How this role impacts MarketCast:
- Assist in data collection/ingestion via our proprietary software.
- Maintenance of our social data inventory/database.
- Perform basic data analysis on client projects.
- Assist with various tasks for both big and small projects for our client roster of major theatrical films, TV shows, talent, and brands.
- Staying up-to-date on all things entertainment, film, TV, pop culture news to understand our clients evolving needs.
The experience needed for success in this role:
- Strong Internship to 1 Year experience in data related role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to comprehend various Boolean syntax structures (IF, AND, OR, NOT, ect.).
- Proficiency in Google Drive & Microsoft Office applications (most specifically, Excel); ability to adapt to additional internal applications.
- Strong knowledge of Excel including IF statements and tables.
- Some SQL experience is a huge plus. So is Tableau.
The skills and education best suited for this role:
- Formal training in data related area (bootcamp or code program) or Bachelors Degree
- Self-directed time management, documentation, and communication skills.
- A software development generalist who is comfortable developing on different layers of a web-based application at the same time, especially in the worlds of Ruby and JavaScript.
- Ability to determine and shift priorities quickly, strong problem solving skills are a must.
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines with successful result.
