The successful candidate will have a strong background in working social media channels professionally. You must excel in producing engaging creative social media and digital work. Ideally, the candidate must also have content creation and copywriting experience.
In this role, you will be responsible for fostering social communities through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. Implementing the client strategy, working with the Director of Marketing, you will be representing the voice of the consumer, monitoring conversations, creating and publishing content, and managing the daily operations of various social challenges. This is about engaging, building, and proactively managing a positive social media community. You must bring a creative flair and excellent written skills within 140 characters and will be responsible for creating monthly social content calendars/strategies with the purpose of increasing social reach and engagement.
The Social Media and Content Strategist works with our Performance Marketing Strategists to understand the developed brand/marketing strategy and apply that to all aspects of brand content and communications. The content efforts in most cases will rely heavily on social media channels, but will also be deployed across email, website, and blog where applicable. Specific responsibilities include:
- Social media content creation
- Social media community management
- Social media reporting
- Brand content strategies
- Social media strategies/planning
- Copywriting and manager of brand tone/voice
- Blog management (writing, uploading, publishing)
- Simple graphics (Canva) and short video content (Reels)
- Content gathering as needed
- Develop shot lists as needed
- Specific client communications where necessary/applicable
- Content related projects outside of monthly retainer, as applicable
- Website content management, as applicable (copywriting and uploading)

What you need to be great in this role:
- At least 2-3 years ‘experience in managing and delivering successful social media campaigns (ideally at a marketing or advertising agency)
- Verifiable examples of social media marketing successes and wins.
- 2-3 years experience of building audiences and engagement through social media
- An instinct for stories that will make people take notice.
- Have a strong understanding of social platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, and more.
- At least 2 years experience with social tools and analytics such as Facebook Insights, Sprout Social, and/or other applicable tools.
- Experience with Adobe Suite, Photoshop, and Lightroom - creating content and design.
- Be able to spot social opportunities in the client’s niches.
- Able to work under a tight deadline and be able to handle multiple projects at any given time.
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
Currently, we are working in a hybrid model: Monday and Friday are remote days and Tues, Wed, Thurs are in the Hartford office. Our in office schedules are flexible and we encourage employees to at home test and stay home if there are any symptoms.
