Ability Commerce is in search of a full-time IT Manager to work with our professional team.  This position is an exciting opportunity to work within the e-commerce hosting, contact center & corporate Cisco voice & data networking environment.

Job Purpose: Responsible for managing, directing and planning IT resources. Ensures that team members complete tasks and deliverables on time and within budget.  Work with advisers from key functional areas to understand ITs impact on the organization, align project work, and execute activities accordingly.  Develop and manages all key IT documents.  Proactively identifies additional cost-savings to reduce overall expenditures.  Manages the effective utilization of resources, and proactively communicates resource capacity and shortages to the Sr. Management in order to optimize the utilization resources.  Coordinates utilization of subject matter experts throughout the organization to assist in the identification, validation, and resolution of business system needs.   Acts as the liaison between IT team members, effected resources and Sr Management to ensure that expectations and objectives are clearly understood by all parties

Principle Job Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the IT team including people and performance management, coaching, department prioritization, IT support and project delivery, and cross-department coordination.
  • Manage and participate in IT helpdesk including incident and service request management activities and associated tools and processes.
  • Network management and configuration for multiple locations including internet/WAN, WiFi, VPN, and local area network.
  • Oversee client services activities including laptop/device management, software management, backup and security as well as IT inventory purchasing and management and VoIP phone solutions
  • Implement and maintain identity and access management solutions including user provisioning, password management, and user/access management
  • Manage collaboration and user productivity solutions including connect/collaborate, content creation, user productivity, and file/content management.
  • Oversee and enforce standards, policies and procedures.
  • Oversee facilities related activities including conference rooms/AV equipment, event setup/management, office equipment management, security and access control systems, and printing solutions.
  • Stay current with technologies and provide architecture leadership and guidance for the IT technical environment including creation of IT roadmaps and maintenance project plans.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement (automation, proactive monitoring, documentation, etc) of IT delivery and support processes through the use of metrics and performance monitoring.
  • Prioritize day to day activities and provide staff leadership.
  • Participate in the creation, forecast, and management of the IT budget.
  •  This position may require travel by car up to 20% of the time to company offices and data centers.
  • 24/7 on-call responsibilities to troubleshoot/resolve issues.
  • Hands-On IT assistance
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

 

         Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent Minimum of 5 years management experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, VMWare, Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Cisco Networking and VOIP Technologies.
  • Working knowledge of LAN technologies (Layer 1, Switching, Voice Gateways etc.) and collaborates cross-team in support of all business units.
  • Understanding of call center operations.

IT Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated strong and current technical experience, business continuity, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Expert levels of problem solving and analytical ability to analyze complex, detailed configurations, and manage same on a day to day basis.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel both internally and externally; e.g. leadership, executives, clients, vendors, and agencies.
  • Ability to provide support off hours and for operational issues as required.
  • Document successful implementation techniques based on industry established best practices.
  • Requires diplomacy, facilitation skills, and the ability to manage conflict.
  • Current and demonstrated understanding of the business processes / constraints and ability to anticipate and plan for changing needs.
  • Understands the need for and consistently practices effective teamwork with others.
  • Ability to interact with IT personnel on all levels to resolve issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
  • Capable of prioritizing and managing assignments and tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain a detail oriented approach while multitasking in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficient in all currently supported technology standards in use at company.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manuals.
