Description:
Markon Solutions is looking for a Senior level project manager for maintenance, refurbishment, capital equipment replacement, and new construction projects at the Alterations Working Group (AWG) in Arlington, VA. Work assignments range from project development, planning, estimating, and programming; requirements gathering and writing statements of work (technical writing); technical review of construction and engineering documents and studies; quality assurance (QA) of contracted work; management of Integrated Product Teams; and managing A/E services projects.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing executive oversight for related fields of strategic planning, project planning, project development and programming, design services, and construction management services.
- Oversees the work of others within the specific functional areas.
- Must be able to lead teams and coordinate on assignments. Researches, develops, establishes, maintains, and interprets processes, procedures, policies, and guidelines associated with specific functional areas and can hold responsibilities in various areas to include quality assurance, facility engineering, scheduling, estimating, requirements gathering, A/E design, and construction management.
- Provides stakeholders at all levels with appropriate visibility into, and feedback on, process stability and capability throughout the life cycle of numerous programs and projects.
- Conducts in-depth evaluations and makes recommendations for improvements, corrective actions, and provides detailed reports to senior managers and supports government litigation.
Required:
- BS degree or higher in mechanical engineering preferred, but degrees in construction management, physics, science or mathematics considered; Preferred – professional licensure; Equivalency is 30 years dedicated construction related technical experience with licensure as a Master Craftsman, Journeyman, or an active general contractor license
- Minimum 20 years or more of related work experience, 10 years of which must be technical in nature; Preferred – experience operating, maintaining, controlling, and/or commissioning industrial heating and/or refrigeration plant systems; Preferred – industrial plant MEP controls, building heating/cooling/mechanical automated systems and/or energy management experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Foreign National with permission to work in the United States and minimum three residency status
- Must be able to pass a U.S. Public Trust background check
