Network Technician

We are seeking a customer-oriented Network Technician to play a vital role in integrating our IoT/connectivity food & beverage equipment with various customer networks. This position primarily focuses on working with customers to understand, align, and troubleshoot connectivity of our IoT solutions and their specific network configurations and security policies. As a Network Technician, you will be at the forefront of troubleshooting complex networking setups, identifying connectivity issues that may arise within customer IT networks, their security systems, third-party vendor integrations, or directly with our equipment. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with customers, providing expert guidance and solutions, making it ideal for those who are not only technically proficient but also excel in customer service and problem-solving.

This role is subject to our hybrid work model: we collaborate in the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The rest of the week, you have flexibility to work wherever it suits you best.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with customers to understand their network configurations and security policies for effective IoT equipment integration.

• Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues, including those related to IT infrastructure, security systems, third-party vendors, and IoT equipment.

• Work closely with the internal team and external vendors to address and solve integration challenges.

• Document customer interactions, issues, and resolutions, ensuring a high level of customer service and support.

• Continuously update and improve knowledge on IoT technologies, networking, and security trends to provide expert advice and solutions.

• Develop training, troubleshooting, and best practice documentation for current and future products or initiatives which contain networking needs.

• Travel up to 10% of the time for on-site customer support

Who You Are

• Proficient understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless technologies.

• Experience in customer-facing roles, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of IoT technologies and their integration into diverse network environments.

• Ability to troubleshoot network issues relating to customer IT and security systems.

• Familiarity with Linux command line for network troubleshooting and configuration.

• Skilled in collaborating with third-party vendors for resolving connectivity and integration issues.

• Excellent organizational and documentation skills for effective customer interaction tracking.

• Customer-centric mindset, with the ability to translate technical details into understandable terms for clients.
