Maron Marvel is searching for a director of marketing & business development. We are seeking a legal marketing professional with over seven to 10 years' experience in marketing litigation and insurance defense practices.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide counsel on business development and marketing strategies and initiatives to firm management, core division leaders, and attorneys.
- Identify business development opportunities for the firm's core legal divisions and attorneys.
- Serve as steward of the firm's brand, firm's reputation, and position.
- Manage the firm's online presence, through management of website and other digital marketing channels.
- Create and oversee marketing budget.
- Maintain and enhance the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and communications.
- Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, including brand messaging, visuals, and materials.
- Ideate event ideas, evaluate sponsorships, and manage events from start to finish.
- Implement strategies such as online press releases, blog posts, whitepapers, and digital renderings of speech presentations.
- Coordinate and advise on developing pitches, responses to RFPs and requests for information from clients.
- Collaborate with other admin teams to execute business development-related initiatives and activities including pitches, responses to proposals, directory submissions.
- Generate reports to track growth, ROI on marketing events, and other KPIs.
- Track results of the marketing and business efforts.
- Conduct and analyze client, competitor, prospect, industry and other marketing research.
- Support cross-selling efforts among practice groups and teams.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years business development marketing role, with a demonstrated track record of success in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to oversee projects.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across departments and influence key stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, including branding, market research, digital marketing, and campaign management.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive informed decision-making.
- Experience working in the legal industry is a must and litigation and insurance defense is a plus.
