What are the responsibilities and job description for the Permit Coordinator position at Maronda Homes?
Position Overview:
Manages the permit coordination process including scheduling, pickup and delivery and overall effectiveness of the process while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Maintains all permit tracking sheets, monitors trends in permit timing and informs applicable departments of changes to permit related costs and permit time frames. Applies for and receives all building permits within the time frame established by the pre-start process. Reviews the production schedule for permit due dates on a daily basis and follows-up accordingly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the timely preparation and submission of individual lot Building Permits
- Coordinate all permit submittals
- Plan preparation
- Facilitate communication with architects
- Support the department with administrative duties
- Other duties as assisgned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent phone skills.
- Exceptional computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and mastery of Excel, including creation and maintenance of intricate spreadsheets.
Work Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Office Environment
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of time
- Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, and printer.
