What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Operations Intern position at Marqeta?
Position Summary
A Revenue Operations internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn about core concepts of how to plan, support and deliver services and programs to the the sales organization within Marqeta. He/She will develop project management skills, presentation skills and people skills that will assist in working with the three parts of the Revenue Organization listed below. Given the vast and growing need for financial service professionals, this can provide a vital step toward a rewarding career in Financial Technology.
What You'll Do
3 Pillars of Revenue Operations
Deal Desk
- The Deal Desk Team works to provide the best possible pricing solutions for customers based upon their specific needs. This team has a heavy focus on SalesForce.com (SFDC) and Docusign in order to drive deals to close. The intern would learn how to clean up Opportunities within SFDC, and Contract metadata with Docusign CLM to assist in moving deals through the pipeline.
Strategy & Operations
- The Strategy and Operations portion of the Revenue Operations Team focuses on the use of analytics to create and pivot within the company strategy. This team focuses on creating dashboards and reports that assist in making strategic decisions for the business. The intern would learn how to run reports that show business opportunities through the use of SFDC data.
Revenue & Sales Enablement
- Revenue Enablement entails being the ‘connective tissue’ between Revenue Operations and the other internal business units to create a cohesive team and mitigate the potential of duplicative efforts. The Sales Enablement piece provides the correct content, to the correct customer in the correct sales stage through training and development of the sales organization. The intern would learn to partner with other business units and assist with creating training and development plans for the sales organization.
What We're Looking For
- Enrollment as a full-time college student for the upcoming school year.
- Preferred, but not required experience with IS2, Looker & SalesForce.com
Nice-To-Haves
- Economics or Data Analytics or Business majors preferred
- Experience and/or interest in Revenue Operations
- Experience with reporting and visualization platforms (Snowflake, Looker)
- Experience with advanced SQL queries, data modeling, data
