Job Posting for Registered Dietitian Part Time at Marquis Home Care
Seeking a Traveling Registered Dietitian for part time work to provide Home Care services in Albany County.
Qualifications:
- Current license as Registered Dietician in New York State.
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
- One year of Registered Dietician experience of acute or long-term care is required.
- Home health or Hospice experience desirable.
- Meet State Education Department CME requirements.
SOME JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides physician directed nutrition services in the home by evaluating patient needs and establishing a goal directed plan of care.
2. Documentation of assessment and care delivery in a professional manner according to policy and within designated time frame.
3. Delivering services in accordance with the approved plan of care and instruction the patient, home caregiver and staff in the preparation, storage and administration of food and liquids, including but not limited to enteral tube feedings and total parenteral nutritional programs.
4. Is available during scheduled visit hours for problem resolutions for assigned patients.
5. Conducts and documents case conference as needed.
6. Attends all mandatory in-service education annually and as requested by the agency to remain compliant with state and federal regulations.
7. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be able to conduct professional assessment of the patient and family.
2. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Requires ability to travel.
4. Must be able to climb stairs.
5. Occasional bending, pulling stooping, kneeling, reaching and twisting required.
6. May be required to lift, pull, or roll 50 lbs.
