Summary / Objective
Marquis Industrial Services is currently recruiting for Stick and Heliarc Welders) with experience in the oil and gas industry.
Essential Functions
- Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Marquis Industrial Services safety requirements
- Participate in safety pre-job audits (JSA’s) with the work crew to ensure all safety hazards have been identified
- Experience working with carbon steel and stainless-steel piping and supports
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and ISO drawings
- Accuracy in reading a tape measure, caliper, or other tools of measure to ensure appropriate cutting of the metal
- Laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding to create the desired shape or object as defined by ISO drawings
- Any other duties as assigned by supervision.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read ISO drawings
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions
- Apply common sense to understand and carryout instructions
- Ability to read a tape measure to accurately taking measurements

- Working around moving mechanical parts
- Working in high precarious places
- Exposed to all types of weather conditions – hot /humid/cold/wet
- Working around different types of chemicals
- Working in high noise areas

Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Ability to pass Hair Follicle Testing
- Acceptable Background
- TWIC Card
- Successfully complete Formosa Safety Training
- At least two (2) years of previous welding experience.
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Required to wear PPE on job site at all times.
