SUMMARY
We are looking for a Client Funds Specialist. The responsibility of this position is to ensure that the benefits and finances of the Individuals in our DDS, DSS, DMHAS-ABI funded programs are maintained properly in accordance with State and Federal Guidelines, as well as those specific to the funding source.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage Individual’s Funds & Benefits as follows:
Complete benefit applications with the Department of Social Services, Social Security Administration, Railroad Retirement Board, and Veterans if applicable
Complete Rep-Payee Accounting Reports submitted to Social Security Administration
Attend meetings at Residential Homes as requested.
Manage Individual checking accounts of all Program Individuals for which Marrakech is Representative Payee, utilizing RPM accounting software, which includes but is not limited to:
Deposit and record all paychecks and any other benefit monies.
Maintain and reconcile all checking accounts utilizing the RPM program, monitor True Link Card balances.
Audit cash on hand sheets for all purchases made by Managers, Staff, and Individuals where applicable
Write and dispense checks or load funds onto True Link Debit Cards for Cash-on-Hand replenishment.
Process payments and write checks for any other expenses including, room & board, vacations, clothing, furniture, electronics, social activities, doctor’s bills not covered by insurance and funeral accounts.
Prepare financial review documents for DDS, Parents and Guardians as requested.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED required. Two years of experience working in similar or related field preferred.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to analyze financial information preferred.
Must be skilled in recent versions of all Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel as well as other Office 365 tools including Outlook calendars and Teams. Must be able to learn and use web-based systems for accounting.

SALARY
$17.60/hr, increases to $18.00/hr after 6 months
