Job Overview:

 

We are seeking a dedicated, hard-working construction professional to join our team as an Assistant Site Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager with the on-site day-to-day construction activities, planning and jobsite administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities:

  • The position is responsible for assisting with the management of the onsite specifics of the construction project from start to finish.


  • Assist the Site Manager in layout of building items, procurement of construction materials, and scheduling construction activities with start and completion times.


  • Assist with the coordination of construction activities concerning safety, quality, schedule and cost. This position is responsible for the management subcontractor's jobsite cleanliness and trash management.


  • Produce detailed daily reports of activities that occurred both on and off the project site.


  • Other duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with the following: gathering change order costs, managing temporary laborers, logging material deliveries and managing temporary facilities.


  • Study project plans and specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completing times and staffing regiments for each phase of construction.


  • Review vendor and subcontractor stop drawing submittals for construction and compliance with all contract documents.


  • Manage the assembly of a comprehensive punch list from the design team, distribute the punch list, schedule punch list work and oversee on-site the completion of the punch list.

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school; or minimum 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general blueprints. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working effectively in a team environment. 


  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or other forms. Ability to make basic accurate math calculations. Ability to accurately measure using a tape measure.

  • While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear. They may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch for long periods of time. May be required to lift items up to 50 pounds. 


  • Generally, normal work environment is where noise level can be extreme and temperature/humidity is uncontrollable. Overtime may be required due to project schedule. 


  • Have reliable transportation with the ability to arrive at the jobsite at the required time daily.


  • Must be able to pass 10 panel drug test.


  • Must have clean driving record and able to be insured through Marrillia’s insurance to operate company owned vehicles.


  • Must obtain OSHA 30 certification.


  • Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully to customers, subcontractors, and other field personnel.


  • Maintain the highest sense of integrity when handling jobsite situations and issues.
