CVS Manager

Job Purpose:
The CVS Manager leads and integrates the efforts of cross-functional teams across multiple areas to ensure that new products and projects are commissioned, validated and started-up (CVS) in an efficient and timely manner. The CVS Manager will also oversee activities to develop training to support the CVS objectives.
What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical degree OR HS Diploma plus relevant work experience of 10 years
- Minimum 8 years manufacturing experience (CPG preferred)
- Minimum 5 years TPM or lean manufacturing experience
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience leading multi-plant and / or multi-unit projects
- Training in project management, food safety, associate safety, P&L principles and Supply/ Manufacturing practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall efforts of a cross functional team in the successful commissioning, validation and start-up of new assets, processes and procedures within the value stream.
- Ensure that new initiatives deliver the committed operating benefits as described in the project description.
- Develop and ensure full deployment of training to support the CVS of new assets and processes.
- Identify and implement strategies that support the efficient conversion of materials into quality products in a safe, secure and sanitary manner.
- Directly and indirectly manage a cross-functional team in the overall operation of the value stream implementation including Project Leadership, Operations Management, Activity Management, Planning and Scheduling, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance, Engineering projects, Research and Development.
- Identify problems and gaps in CVS processes and systems. Work to quickly identify root-causes and develop cross functional solutions to drive improvement.
