Job Description:
The Master Data Analyst functions as a member of the Data Analytics and Insight team within Mars Global Services and is primarily responsible for the quality, integrity and governance standards of material data within end-to-end workflow process for all Mars segments. This role is a tactical focal point for material data business processes and drives awareness, problem resolution and analytics of material data within the business, supporting the planning, manufacturing, commercial, logistics, order processing, Data Sync, marketing and sales organizations.
This is a hybrid role based out of Hackettstown, NJ. It requires working 2 days per week in the office.
What are we looking for?
- Analyze, resolve and communicate all material data quality issues that may arise from both passive governance as well as ad hoc reporting.
- Be a value creation driver for the material data team.
- Act as key contact for problem resolution and analysis for projects related to material data, through the daily monitoring of the shared inbox or via direct contact from key internal customers, including Data Sync, Global COE, or Functional Experts
- Design and provide ad hoc system reporting and analysis to identify material data inaccuracies or updates needed as a result of changing business requirements.
- Design and maintain Material Data Management procedures, forms and documentation (process diagrams, user guides, troubleshooting guides)
- Design, modify and provide training for new hires on Material Data team and to external departments on material data processes and procedures.
- Support testing and implementation of new systems and enhancements
- Support internal control audit processes and procedures.
- Establish keen understanding of relationship/interface among business and master data systems.
- Ability to travel 5-10%.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Drive material data quality produced within all Mars segments.
- Evaluates data change requests to ensure compliance with business data processes and data quality standards; resolves compliance issues with requestors and users of data.
- Collaborates with relevant cross-functional stakeholders/teams
- Prioritizes data troubleshooting or reporting requests to help the business meet deadlines
- Develops/implements business process enhancements, and designs/executes SAP/Winshuttle queries as needed for data analysis, quality and governance.
