Job Description : Sanitation Team Lead
Sanitation Team Lead
The Sanitation Team Lead is responsible for implementing site and corporate Food Safety & Sanitation initiatives and requires effective leadership skills to manage Sanitation Associates.
Other responsibilities include providing
detailed guidance and delivering detailed training to associates. This role is also responsible for all safety requirements being fully adhered to throughout site sanitation initiatives.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Degree is a plus.
- Excellent working knowledge of all production equipment, site layout, sanitation tool use and preventive maintenance.
- Very good interpersonal skills, with ability to influence, motivate and work in a team environment.
- Self-motivated
- Thorough understanding of site Quality & Food Safety, pest control and microbial control programs.
- Understanding of chemical safety procedures and hazards of chemicals used in sanitation.
- Excellent written / verbal communication.
- Capable of working in environmental extremes (hot / cold), elevated heights, within confined spaces, in high-dust areas, and with chemicals.
- Must be forklift qualified or be able to qualify to operate a fork-lift.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Supervise and coordinate daily work for sanitation team
- Implement Master Cleaning Schedule, Shutdown / Start-up and cleaning schedules.
- Bin inspections and cleaning.
- Ensure the proper, timely collect environmental monitoring samples.
- Assist all areas to maintain high levels of daily cleanliness and adherence to GMPs.
- Review / develop / implement Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintaining inventories of cleaning and sanitation materials and supplies.
- Training and coaching team members, including onboarding for new team members.
- Ensure sanitation equipment (., floor scrubbers) are properly maintained.
- Participate in audits, tours and inspections as needed.
- Participate in pest management activities as needed.
- Responsible for communicating and elevating any quality and food safety concerns to appropriate management.
- Other various duties as assigned by the Sanitation Manager.
