Position Objective:
As a Barback at Marsanne, you will play a crucial role in supporting the bartending team by ensuring a well-stocked bar, assisting with guest service, ingredients, garnishes, and drinks preparation, as well as maintaining cleanliness in the bar area. This position offers an excellent learning opportunity for someone who sees themselves as a future Bartender.

Requirements:

• 1 years of restaurant or hospitality experience.
• 1 years of experience as a barback in a restaurant setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• NY Department of Health & Mental Hygiene Food Protection Certificate preferred.
• TIPS Certification preferred.
• Fluent in written and spoken English with basic math skills.
• Friendly, helpful, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Demands:

• This position requires seeing, hearing, speaking, frequent use of hands, reaching, frequently lifting 30 pounds, standing for long periods, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.

Responsibilities:

• Assist bartenders with the preparation and service of beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout the shift.
• Stock and replenish bar supplies, including ice, glassware, juices, spirits, and garnishes.
• Assist with guest inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Clear used plateware, glassware, and utensils from the bar area.
• Follow instructions from bartenders and management.
• Participate in opening, transitional, and closing side work.
• Assist with bar stocking and prep duties before, during, and after the shift.
• Maintain proper rotation and labeling of products.
• Participate in staff training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
