Job Title: E-commerce Analyst

Position Function: Leverage analytics to optimize the online sales strategy and improve digital channel performance in a B2B distribution environment.

Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Optimization:
• Gather and analyze sales data, website traffic, and user engagement across digital platforms to identify patterns and insights.
• Develop comprehensive reports on findings to aid strategic decision-making at the senior management level.
• Monitor and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to e-commerce operations.
• Market and Competitive Analysis:
• Conduct thorough market research to understand industry standards, evaluate competitor strategies, and identify market opportunities.
• Analyze customer behavior and market trends to tailor the e-commerce strategies effectively.
• Strategic Implementation and Testing:
• Collaborate with the IT and Marketing web development teams to enhance site usability and customer experience, increasing conversion rates.
• Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to implement data-driven strategies.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to all pertinent stakeholders.
• Forecasting and Business Insights:
• Utilize predictive analytics to anticipate market trends and assist in strategic planning.
• Support budgeting processes with detailed data analysis and historical performance insights.

Minimum Requirements:

• Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an e-commerce analytics or similar role, with proven ability to deliver analysis with clear takeaways and recommendations, preferably within a B2B distribution setting.
• Strong background in using analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and understanding of SEO/SEM.
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced skills in data analysis tools and software, including proficiency in Excel, SQL, PowerBI and possibly Python.
• Knowledge of e-commerce technology and digital marketing strategies as well as understanding and use of EDI order technology.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex data in an accessible format.
• Proactive and results-driven, with a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Abilities Required:

• Proficient in using analytics tools to gather insights, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
• Experience leading projects from inception to execution.
• Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive business results through eCommerce initiatives
• Must be reliable, adaptable, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively collaborate with cross function teams and upper management.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
