What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Person (Urgently Hiring!!) position at Marsh Furniture Company?
The Lead Person provides leadership, coaching and communication on an individual and group basis to meet client demand and expectations. This position reports to the Assembly Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (these are primary responsibilities of the role and the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned)
- Be flexible with work schedule and be a good assembly team player.
- Oversee the support functions of the Main Cabinet Assembly area which includes repair, FOL drawer cell and hinging area.
- Be able to read daily/weekly production schedule to satisfy production requirements.
- Be able to assign employees to a particular job as needed and maintain high housekeeping standards in their area of responsibility
- Be able to multi-task and prioritize workload of self and team.
- Know and understand the Marsh Quality Standards as it relates to the assembly area. Be able to resolve quality issues
- Maintain certification in all company job and safety training required for this position
- Observe and lead the team to meet the safety requirements for the assembly department.
- Have ability to organize variety of tasks
- Be able to read a tape measure
- Capable of bending, stooping, reaching, walking, lifting and pushing
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years related experience preferred as a team leader
