Job Overview:
Barnes Health Care is seeking a highly organized and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the facility, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient delivery of housekeeping services
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary cleaning supplies and equipment
- Handle residents complaints or requests related to housekeeping services
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including room occupancy rates, maintenance requests, and lost-and-found items
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any repairs or maintenance issues
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in housekeeping management
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and practices
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, guests, and other departments
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and custodial procedures
