Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the uniform of the department. Demonstrates competency in assigned areas as outlined in procedure manual.
Receives and processes necessary paperwork; maintains on-going records, performs exams according to policy while assuring patient safety, comfort and protection. Assists the radiologist and attending physician. Communicates effectively and appropriately, works efficiently and productively. Maintains a clean and safe working environment. Demonstrates the proper use and care of equipment. Reflects a caring attitude toward patients, visitors, and other employees. Stays abreast of changes through continuing education programs.
EDUCATION:
Must be A.R.D.M.S. (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) registered or registry eligible and must be registered/registry eligible in one ultrasound modality.
OR
Must be A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) registered and cross-trained &/or registry eligible in one ultrasound modality.
Expected to take call in any area after the completions of competency requirements are met.
Should perform a rotation and maintain competencies in one modality.
Must live within a 30 min response to call back area.
Should have CPR certification
