Scheduler We have an exciting opportunity to join our MRO team as a Scheduler to enable the business to grow, by developing our planning led organisation and continually improving operational performance. This role will give you the chance to play a key role on ground-breaking and high-profile defence projects with values in the hundreds of millions. You’ll be part of an industry-leading team, working with Marshall and other major defence stakeholders and Primes. Purpose of the position To plan, maintain and control master schedules associated with projects and programmes undertaken by Operations, in order to manage risk, optimise sequence of work and maximise staff utilisation, whilst making allowances for material and resource constraints. Using technical knowledge, experience, historic data and work scope information to create master schedules for aircraft inputs, including maintenance and modification where required. Master schedules show the critical path and high risk tasks, key milestones, dependencies and input phases along with the required weekly resource demand across all trades. Utilise feedback and any other information available to ensure that the Master Schedules are as accurate and up to date as possible. Work with resource planning to inform strategic and tactical sales and operation planning. Also to agree and implement changes to Master Schedules as required to balance demand across the business. Integrate additional and emergent work into baseline or live schedule to access impact to critical path, resource and project risks. Create task level schedules within Microsoft project which can used to update ERP system. Communicate effectively so that schedule can be handed over to production team Candidate Requirements Degree (engineering or business) level preferred, or experience Confident individual with the ability to create and foster close working relationships Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to be able to present reports and presentations Have good working knowledge of MS Office based applications especially MS Project To be self-motivated with the ability to produce accurate work and meet tight deadlines Excellent analytical skills Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance Desirable Have a working knowledge of MRP, ERP and S&OP Experience of working within the Aerospace/ engineering / Defence Industry About Marshall Marshall is an independent, family-owned UK company with a diverse portfolio of businesses and a shared commitment to keeping our customers moving forward.
