Shipping Associate

Marshall Sales Inc. is an industrial fastener distributor located in Kalamazoo. We have a job opening for Shipping Associate. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented with a mechanical or hardware aptitude. If you work well with others and are dependable, we would like to have you on our team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Shipping position is responsible for accurately filling and packaging customer orders on-time, helping walk-in customers including entering the order into our ERP computer program and packaging & kitting fasteners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
• Pull customer orders, accurately complete paperwork, package orders and stage completed orders
• Work with walk-in customers. Enter orders into company software, fill the order and process payment
• Work with 3rd party logistics company software (UPS and FedEx)
• Accurately package fasteners with a counting scale
• Create product labels and custom customer labels
• Organize, clean and maintain storage shelves
• Maintain clean and safe work area
• Perform periodic physical inventories
• Follow ISO quality procedures and work instructions
• Lift 35-50 pound boxes throughout the day
• Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• Fastener knowledge or mechanical aptitude
• Experience with ERP software
• Experience with online applications of UPS, FedEx and DHL

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires walking, bending, kneeling, and standing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items 35-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS

• High school diploma/GED
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure
• Authorization to work in the US
• Willingness to undergo a background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
