Job Posting for Financial Administrator at Marshall University
This position provides overall financial administration to the COBRE grant.
Duties of this position include:
Provide financial oversight and administrative support for a large, NIH-funded COBRE program.
Assist junior faculty, core leads, and project leads in procuring supplies, managing payroll, and overseeing budgets.
Monitoring and tracking of expenditures and other data for reporting to the funder.
Budgeting, reviewing, and tracking clinical trial financial as part of the grant’s expanded translational science core.
Use Banner to manage grant funds and make expenditures.
Provide oversight and financial assistance with institutional pilot projects.
Serve as a budgetary resource for project lead grant applications and subsequent COBRE renewals.
Attend meetings with the Vice Dean and Department Administrator regarding budget, accounting procedures, etc. as needed
Work with the Vice Dean and Department Administrator to answer budgetary questions and concerns
Location MUSOM - MU School of Medicine Salary Range Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor of the Arts in Accounting, Business, or Finance required.

Previous experience preferred
