Manufacturing Process Engineer - Power Coating

Reporting to the Senior Director of Arkansas Operations,  this position is responsible for the performance of a manufacturing process area, the Powder Coat Department, within our production facility across all shifts. This includes meeting the production output, maintenance, safety, and quality goals. This position does not have direct report. Remote work is not available for this position. 

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Learn and become a process expert of an assigned manufacturing area, including machine, robotic, and manual workstations
• Program & operate robots, PLCs, HMIs, and CNC equipment
• Mentors Supervisors and employees within the department to solve problems to improve manufacturing processes
• Collaborates with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance to address issues with greater scope
• Identifies and escalate issues that require further capital investment and/or design resources through the appropriate management channel
• Improve system designs for better safety and production efficiency
• Develop and execute in-house testing procedures
• Perform data collection and analysis
• Shows initiative in gaining and maintaining the skills, abilities, and knowledge required to perform this position in at least a fully qualified and satisfactory manner
• Other project work and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications of the Position Include:

• 2-4 year degree in related field (Engineering, Industrial Technology, etc.) 2 years of experience, required. Technical degree can be replaced with additional years of related technical experience.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential
• Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc Robots, and/or HAAS CNCs experience, preferred
• Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills, preferred
• Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities and projects
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge, preferred
• Must be proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook and Excel
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs. unassisted
