JOB SUMMARY
The Revenue Systems Support Technician provides high quality reporting, technical maintenance and overall support of revenue systems, applications, databases, and configuration to meet the requirements of the business areas.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred/Optional: Associate’s degree in accounting, computer sciences, or business fields. Completion of medical terminology, current ICD coding, and CPT/HCPCS coding.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Four years’ experience in revenue cycle or medical reimbursement working with fees, service codes, insurance, and billing issues. Four years’ experience with computer software applications. Demonstrated intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
Preferred/Optional: Experience with software specific to the department the position resides in.
