Operations Manager

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Operations Manager position is ensuring safe productive performance of the plant. The Operations Manager will be responsible for monitoring all aspects of production, operations, assigning work, and ensuring that the plant is running properly.

Responsibilities

· Responsible for production of the plant and plant efficiencies

· Ensure all team members follow safety standards with exactness

· Complete and review plant sampling and production reports

· Inventory control – both product in production and aged product, packaging,

· Coordinate sales and packaging orders with production

· Responsible for product traceability and mock recalls

· Responsible for chemical application and purchasing

· Establish policy and procedures for the plant and employee positions

· Establish plant goals and expectations

· Responsible for training supervisors and motivating supervisor to meet their goals

· Responsible for employee training and safety, employee count, minimize labor costs, assist in employee discipline

· Coordinate plant maintenance needs with Maintenance Manager to minimize plant down time

· Coordinate facilities maintenance with Facilities Manager

· Enforce Food Safety and Food Security plans

Reasoning Ability:

This position requires a high degree of self-confidence and maturity to make decisions required in day-to-day activities. Must be able to solve problems with minimal direction, be detailed oriented and have strong organizational skills. A team player who is flexible and accepts changing assignments and accountabilities. Should display excellent interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
