Purpose
This Parts Professional position is a mid-level position and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supplying customers with timely & accurate information regarding accounts, products, promotions, and services offered.
Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent customer service to counter and phone customers including welcoming usage of customer names during interactions
- Provides recommendation for sales of additional related or needed parts and accessories
- Timely and accurate processing of all in-store orders; completes orders by communicating with customers on pick-up or delivery status
- Locating and obtaining merchandise for customers, whether in-stock, out-of-stock or non-stocked merchandise
- Maintains inventory integrity by verifying receipting-in of shipments and assisting with placing parts orders in their proper inventory locations; assisting in cycle counts; following up on inventory discrepancies and expediting issues by reporting to supervisor
- Leads in adjusting and maintaining professional showroom image and merchandise displays
- Proactively calls customers to promote parts and service programs
- Closes open invoices in a timely manner
- Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly
- Provides back up to Aftermarket Parts Specialist as needed
- Routinely lifts items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
- High School diploma with prior sales experience or college degree preferred
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends
- Experience connecting with customers, maintain professional image, establish rapport
- Complete all training required for Level 1-Certified Parts Professional
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence
- Experience using standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet applications
