Concrete Construction Estimator

We are a family owned; structural concrete subcontracting business based out of central NC. We specialize in new construction of government buildings on military installations. We are currently working on multiple projects in North and South Carolina. We value our employees and take great pride in our work. We are currently seeking an EXPERIENCED Concrete Construction Estimator.

Requirements:

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to reasonably pass a background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be reliable.
• Travel may be required. Per diem will be paid when travel is necessary.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of estimating experience (preferably with commercial concrete)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel software

• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to be self-motivating and work independently

Job Duties:

• Communicate with current and potential General Contractors regarding new projects

• Attend pre-bid/informational meetings

• Provide accurate manual takeoffs from project drawings

• Determine material cost information
• Prepare and submit accurate, detailed estimates

• Review project scope for potential contracts
• Maintain open communication with GCs after projects have been awarded
• Compile material submittals
• Procure materials
• Work closely in support of project Foremen to resolve material issues should they arise.

Candidates should understand that this is a small office setting. We are family oriented, friendly and casual but we still expect professionalism. You must be able to work independently, taking direction from the owner via phone calls and email as he self performs most of his work and is not frequently in the office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
