Nurse Paralegal (3 years experience required)
We are looking for a nurse paralegal to join our personal injury insurance defense team at our St. Petersburg, FL law office. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process including conducting client interviews, analysis and summarization of medical records, research, and document preparation and filing. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Duties
- Review, analyze and summarize medical records, medical bills, insurance, employment, and academic records in order to prepare detailed chronologies of injuries, damages, expenses and other losses.
- Oversee all discovery for multiple cases for all stages of litigation.
- Prepare discovery documents and correspondence seeking information from opposing counsel and third parties.
- Prepare for mediation, including drafting statements and summaries.
- Prepare for trial by preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness folders.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills
- Registered nurse with active State of Florida license.
- Proven working experience as a nurse paralegal, minimum of 3 years preferred
- Ability to efficiently review, analyze and summarize medical, employment and academic records
- Applicable knowledge of discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices, etc.
- Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
- Extensive computer and database expertise
