What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Associate position at Martins?
Looking for Part time Associate
Must be 18 years of age or older, must pass a drug test and background check
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Customer Service
- Ringing the Register- verifying DOB/address, offer of counseling, selling PSE product, promoting company initiatives, etc.
- Accepting new and refilled prescriptions
a. Sending refill requests to prescribers
- Answering phones with appropriate greeting
- Maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Helping customers locate OTC items
- Resolving third party/ billing issues
Understand prescription workflow and utilize all aspects of the dispensing software
- Data Entry- Processing new and refill prescriptions (e.g. knowing where to find incoming prescriptions, reading a new prescription, selecting the correct information for processing, adjudicating the prescription to third parties, etc.)
- Product Dispensing- Verifying correct stock product, counting/pouring/packaging, and labeling for patient use
- Rebilling Insurance Claims
- Utilize all workflow queues and understand how to locate necessary information independently
Filing Prescriptions and Invoices
Housekeeping- Cleaning the department, dusting shelves, stocking supplies on a daily basis, trash removal
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform at a proficient level and be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:
1. Education (Minimum Needed): High School Diploma/ GED
2. Experience (Minimum Needed): Retail pharmacy experience preferred, but will teach
3. Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: Computer based skills, customer service skills
4. Special Skills: Team work, quick learner, self-motivated
5. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
6. Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with Company policies and safety regulations
7. Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
8. Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
9. Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
10. Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
11. Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
