Job Summary
-
The Athletic Trainer treats and prevents athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility under the direction of a physician. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. The athletic trainer provides emergency treatment of athletic injuries, referral of athletic injuries to the proper medical professionals, rehabilitation and treatment of athletic injuries, and monitors return to play situations. The athletic trainer is responsible for the organization and administration of the school’s athletic training facility and equipment.

Regulatory Requirements
-
Master’s in athletic training or relevant equivalent post-secondary education to achieve licensure.

Licensed Athletic Trainer in good standing with the State of Ohio.

Current BLS

Language Skills

Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Additional languages preferred.
