What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Maryhaven?
Job Summary: Performs housekeeping duties to maintain the buildings in a clean and sanitary manner, ensuring that OSHA procedures are followed.
Job/Position Essential Functions:
1. Performs general cleaning, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting.
2. Answers pages for emergency clean up in building.
3. Performs floor care maintenance, such as stripping, waxing, restoring, surface cleaning, buffing and burnishing.
4. Provides carpet care, such as bonnet cleaning, vacuuming and extraction cleaning.
5. Cleans bathrooms, ensuring cleanliness and infection control.
6. Remains current with OSHA rules and regulations as they apply to housekeeping.
7. Interrupts and reports suspected abuse to supervisor immediately.
8. Keeps immediate supervisor apprised of all significant issues.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Education and Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma /equivalent preferred; must be able to read.
2. One (1) year professional housekeeping experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
